Art
In the Jewish religion, art is very important. In temples, it is very common for there to be artwork hanging up in the hallways, or even inside the synagogue. That is so common because it is popular for Jews to express themselves through art. In times of trouble, Jews would often paint pictures to represent their struggle. However, as you can tell, art can be represented in many ways nowadays. The top photo shows what looks like cut paper to make art, whereas the bottom photo uses a mural or painting. Culture "Jewish dance has long been used by Jews as a medium for the expression of joy and other communal emotions. Each Jewish diasporic community developed its own dance traditions for wedding celebrations and other distinguished events. Jewish humor is the long tradition of humor in Judaism dating back to the Torah and the Midrash, but generally refers to the more recent stream of verbal, frequently self-deprecating and often anecdotal humor originating in Eastern Europe. Jewish musical contributions also tend to reflect the cultures of the countries in which Jews live, the most notable examples being classical and popular music in the United States and Europe."(wikipedia.com) |
